Welcome to MyRide Wallet. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MyRide Wallet service ("Service"), a mobile application and payment platform offered by the RTA of Southeast Michigan. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are not authorized to use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.
You may be required to create an account ("Account") to use certain features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.
The Service is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree to use the Service in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and not to use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You further agree not to:
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information. However, due to legal, regulatory, and financial compliance obligations, certain data related to your transaction history cannot be deleted. This includes transaction records, payment details, and other relevant financial data.
You can still request the deletion of non-essential data such as profile information, contact details, and any preferences that are not required for legal or financial purposes.

Consent to Receive SMS Messages: By using the Service and providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent and agree to receive SMS text messages from MyRide Wallet. These messages may include but are not limited to:
Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity and the services you use. You may receive up to 10 messages per day during active use, with typical usage resulting in 2-5 messages per week. Frequency may increase during periods of high account activity, system updates, or security events.
Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. MyRide Wallet is not responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile carrier. By consenting to receive SMS messages, you acknowledge that your carrier may charge you for each message received.
Opt-Out Instructions: You may opt out of non-essential SMS communications at any time by:

Important Note: Opting out of SMS messages may prevent you from receiving critical security alerts, transaction confirmations, and authentication codes necessary for account access and security. Some messages related to fraud prevention, account security, and legal compliance cannot be opted out of as they are essential for the safe operation of your account.
We are committed to making MyRide Wallet accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. The app is designed to comply with ADA digital accessibility standards. If you experience issues accessing our services, please contact support for assistance.
You understand and agree that the use of the MyRide Wallet Digital Wallet and associated Services is at your own risk. MyRide Wallet, the RTA of Southeast Michigan, and any participating transit or subsidy partners, make no representation or guarantee that the use of the App and Services will yield the results intended by you. MyRide Wallet and its technology supplier make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, timely or secure and/or error free. No advice or information obtained from MyRide Wallet, its employees, consultants, representatives and partners, whether oral or written, shall create or be construed as a warranty.
MyRide Wallet, its technology providers, transit agencies, subsidy partners, and affiliated personnel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the MyRide Digital Wallet and associated Services, including but not limited to transaction delays, fare miscalculations, loss of data, unauthorized access, or issues with third-party mobility providers.
In no event shall MyRide Wallet’s total liability to you for any and all claims, damages, or losses exceed the equivalent of any unused wallet balance or ride credits in your account at the time of claim.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to the use of the MyRide Wallet service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wayne County, Michigan, unless otherwise required by law. You consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
These Terms may be changed without notice from time to time in order to comply with legal or business requirements. Any changes to these Terms will be posted on this website and will become effective immediately upon posting.
Additional terms and conditions may apply to specific portions of the website or to products and services available on or through the website. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any additional terms and conditions, the additional terms and conditions will control.
