Any information collected by the MyRide Wallet website, and the wallet system will only be used by MyRide Wallet, it's participating transit or subsidy partners and the third-party providers such as on-line operators or merchants within the MyRide Wallet ecosystem.
MyRide Wallet will use your information to send you confirmation of your purchase(s) and any payments made to merchants when using your digital wallet to pay for goods and services within the MyRide Wallet ecosystem.
We may share anonymized travel data—such as trip times, routes, and usage patterns—with transit agencies and partners to help improve public transportation services. This data does not include your name, contact information, or payment details.
If you enable location tracking in the app, we may use your location to help plan trips, show nearby transit options, or verify ride eligibility. Location data is stored securely and never shared without your consent. If you apply for subsidized rides, we may share limited personal information (such as income level or program enrollment status) with approved subsidy providers to verify your eligibility. This will only happen with your consent.
We may share anonymized or aggregated data with subsidy providers to help them monitor program performance, prevent fraud, and comply with reporting requirements.
MyRide Wallet shall not rent, sell or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third party other than it's authorized transit and subsidy partners orthe merchants or brands that participate within the MyRide Wallet ecosystem.
By utilizing the MyRide Wallet website and/or subscribing to any services offered by MyRide Wallet and/or the merchants, you expressly consent to MyRide Wallet utilizing your personal information for the purpose of providing the services and for billing and advertising purposes (unless you have opted out) and to other third parties where necessary, or to comply with any law or regulation, to prevent fraud or abuse, misuse or unauthorized use of the MyRide Wallet digital wallet and to protect MyRide Wallet's rights and those of its customers. MyRide Wallet may use your personal information to personalize your profile on MyRide Wallet's internal system.
MyRide Wallet may receive information about you from reliable third parties and add it to its database purely for payment or servicing third-party payment request for product sales or financial services purposes. MyRide Wallet shall ensure that such third parties operate a similar ethical policy in relation to your privacy.
You may receive invitations to buy goods and services or other related products, but you may unsubscribe from these invitations at any time.
MyRide Wallet will be sending wallet subscribers a variety of SMS or WhatsApp or in-app messages which include transaction information, wallet balance information and sales receipts. Should the recipient block these messages then MyRide Wallet shall not be liable to re-send these messages. The messages are not marketing material but may be notifications, authentications or information messages that relate to the payment in question.
Consent to Receive SMS Messages: By providing your mobile phone number and using our services, you expressly consent and agree to receive SMS text messages from MyRide Wallet for the following purposes:
Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity and the services you use. You may receive up to 10 messages per day during active use, with typical usage resulting in 2-5 messages per week. Frequency may increase during periods of high account activity, system updates, or security events.
Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply as determined by your mobile carrier. MyRide Wallet is not responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile carrier. By consenting to receive SMS messages, you acknowledge that your carrier may charge you for each message received.
Opt-Out Instructions: You can opt out of receiving non-essential SMS messages at any time by:
Important Note: Opting out of SMS messages may prevent you from receiving critical security alerts, transaction confirmations, and authentication codes necessary for account access and security. Some messages related to fraud prevention, account security, and legal compliance cannot be opted out of as they are essential for the safe operation of your account.

MyRide Wallet, the RTA of Southeast Michigan, and any participating transit or subsidy partners, make no representation or guarantee that the use of the App and Services will yield the results intended by you. MyRide Wallet and its technology supplier makes no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, timely or secure and/or error free. No advice or information obtained from MyRide Wallet, its employees, consultants, representatives and partners, whether oral or written shall create or be construed as a warranty.
MyRide Wallet, its technology providers, transit agencies, subsidy partners, and affiliated personnel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the MyRide Digital Wallet and associated Services, including but not limited to transaction delays, fare miscalculations, loss of data, unauthorized access, or issues with third-party mobility providers.
In no event shall MyRide Wallet’s total liability to you for any and all claims, damages, or losses exceed the equivalent of any unused wallet balance or ride credits in your account at the time of claim.
Any dispute arising under this Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to the use of the MyRide Wallet service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wayne County, Michigan, unless otherwise required by law. You consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
This MyRide Wallet Privacy Policy may be changed without notice from time to time in order to comply with legal or business requirements. Any changes to this policy will be posted on this website and will become effective immediately upon posting.
